Every year the Illinois Broadcasters Association recognizes excellence and creativity among its member stations. This past Wednesday, MeTV-FM was proud to learn that we had won three Silver Dome Awards for audio pieces we broadcast in the preceding year. It’s hard to read the fine print in the photo, but Program Director Rick O’Dell and Director of Radio Imaging and Production Bill Cochran are posing with this year’s trophies for Best Radio Commercial, Best Radio Self-Promotion, and Best Radio Series (single story). Says Rick, “Radio is all about sound, of course. But, when a certain amount of creativity is applied, that sound can stir the imagination, paint a picture, trigger a memory and even move a product. Here at MeTVFM, we’re proud that Bill’s work was recognized by the Illinois Broadcasters Association as worthy recipients of a 2018 Silver Dome Award for radio excellence.
